How to Build 'Green Congregations' -
Check out how congregations can work together to "go green. McGregor Presbyterian Church is hosting a drop-in regarding "green congregations" January 30 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. This is a drop-in mini conference to exchange ideas on caring for God's creations: Stop & Go Green. The church is at 6505 St. Andrews Road. The event will focus on how congregations can engage in environmentally friendly projects. Visit learning tabel where Green Congregations will share ways they are encouraging people to conserve, protect and restore the environment. Talk to experts from Richland and Lexington Counties about environmentally friendly projects your congregation can try. Discover Caring for Creation project ideas such as: reduce, reuse, recycle; Adopt-A-Highway; Marking storm drains with "No Dumping" labels; learning gardens, habitat gardens, rain barrels; energy conservation; "Green" worship; Arbor Day projects.
