Horeseback Riding Day Camp
If you enjoy horseback riding and learning about horses, this is the camp for you! Red Knoll Farm LLC is offering their first annual horseback riding day camp located 2.5 miles from Chapin Town limits. The camp offers daily riding lessons, arts and crafts, games and other activities. The camp provides snacks and drinks. Campers must bring their own bagged lunches. The age range is 5 - 16. Camp dates are June 24-28 and July 15-19. The camp cost is $300. Also, please ask about multi-child, multi-camp or current riding student discounts. A non-refundable deposit of $150 is due 10 days prior to camp. Each camp day will run from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Additionally, riding lessons, Monday through Saturday, are $30 an hour. Chapin Chamber Golf Tournament Winners
Congratulations to Chapin Chamber Golf Tournament Winners - The Cherry Bombs. The Cherry Bombs' members are Jack Cherry, Dennis O'Neill, Chris DeSanty and Clark Rogers. The Carolina Comfort Team of Rich Mitchell, Jessie Sellers, Troy Ravel and David Williams placed second. The First Community Bank Team of Von Wessinger, Alec Herring, Jeff Colette and Michael Cromer won third place. The chamber thanks also the sponsors, donors and volunteers who helped make the event possible. More than $8,000 was raised to support Chapin Chamber programs and the Annie Epting Scholarship Fund. The Chapin Chamber has awarded the Annie Epting Memorial Scholarship to Caroline Kennerly, who is pursuing a career in nursing, following in the footsteps of her mother. The Annie Epting Memorial Scholarship is named in honor and memory of the chamber's first executive director. Each year, the chamber recognizes a deserving Chapin High School senior.
